Former Sri Lankan Sports Minister Barred from Traveling Overseas!
The Commission to Investigate Allegations of Bribery or Corruption (CIABOC) of Sri Lanka has imposed a three month overseas travel ban on former Sports Minister Mahindananda Aluthgamage preventing him from leaving the country.
The Commission has issued a directive to the Department of Immigration and Emigration to suspend the former minister’s passport.
The Commission said that Aluthgamage’s passport will not be released until the complaints against him are investigated.
Earlier, the Commission suspended the passports of former Governor of the Central Bank Ajith Nivard Cabral, and former Monitoring Parliamentarian of External Affairs Sajin Vass Gunawardena for three months.
