Sri Lanka ‘Economic Summit 2015 on August 4, 5!
Sri Lanka ‘Economic Summit 2015’, an annual event organized by the Ceylon Chamber of Commerce (CCC), will be held on August 4 and 5, at Cinnamon Grand Colombo, under the title ‘Towards Exports of US$ 50 billion’.
The upcoming summit, which is conducted for the 15th consecutive year since its inauguration in the year 2000, will consist of eight sessions, covering the most important economic sectors of the country with government policymakers, top economists, sector-based professionals – both from the public and the private sector, political leaders and academics joining as resource persons. President Maithripala Sirisena, Prime Minister Ranil Wickremesinghe, Sri Lankan Finance Minister and Foreign Minister will address the Sri Lanka Economic Summit 2015.
During the two-day event, the planned eight sessions will focus on areas such as ‘National Vision: Policy Implementation and Perspective’, ‘A New Global Economic Strategy for Sri Lanka’, ‘Driving Exports – Use of Social Media and Technology’, ‘Challenges In and Opportunities For Financing of Exports’, ‘Championing Value Addition in Agri Exports’, ‘Sustainability-Led Export Growth’, ‘Going Up the Value Chain – Export of Knowledge Services’ and will conclude with a CEO’s forum.
The event, which has been hugely successful over the years, is expected to see the participation of over 400 top rung corporate executives and officials from the public sector, non-governmental organizations (NGOs), donor agencies and other social groups in the country.
